It’s also become hopelessly obvious this week just how much she hates being inside.

Takes after her mom :D

I love that Canada still has metal slides...you can barely find any in California....She is so stinckin cute....and I love following her journey through all things new....thanks for letting me. You continue to be a great writer making the reader really "feel" the experience.

Happy 1st Mother's Day to an amazing mom...Kaiya is one lucky miss

I finally have a minute to really comment....on "mommy guilt"....if she is happy and not crying then just let her be .....she also needs Kaiya time to figure herself out. Your baby is very secure and just wants to see if you are 'paying attention"....it will NOT hurt her psyche to "figure it out" on the contrary it is a vital life skill.....You are parenting with the "big picture" in mind....she will grow up self confident and proud of herself as you respect her enough to do what is best for her (bedtime, naptime, mealtime-predictability) - she will be very successful in her life with the skills she is acquiring....boundaries are one of the best things we can have and learn....Keep up the good work....and don't give in toooo often.....it will quickly become a habit.

So glad and not surprised that the crib is working so well, given the effect of swaddling and my experience with cribs/playpens as needed. SOO happy you will have your own grass and 2nd bedroom too. And just LOVE the biker Kaiya in her helmet. Can't wait to see you all.
